Sunset At the Scott fundraiser supports efforts to restore Pewabic tiles on James Scott Memorial Fountain

The historic Pewabic tile mosaic on the James Scott Memorial Fountain may have a good shot of being restored. For the second year the Belle Isle Conservancy will tackle this with its Sunset at the Scott fundraiser on Thursday, August 10 from 6 p.m. -10 p.m. on Belle Isle’s paddock.

The event supports the Belle Isle Conservancy’s efforts to restore and repair damaged Pewabic Pottery tiles on the foundation.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful setting and Michigan summer sun and hobnob while they sip a Stroh’s beer, Don Q Rum and Death’s Door Spirits, and enjoy appetizers. There will also be a private bar provided by Wolf Moon Mixers for those in the VIP lounge.

The Pewabic Street Team will have a mobile mini museum and a pop-up shop for you to check out.

For those who want to remember the night, there will be a TapSnap photo booth kiosk where souvenir photos, including the Scott Fountain and the Detroit skyline, are available for purchase.

If you feel the need to move, you’ll be able to hop in one of Rickshaw Detroit’s pedi-cabs or dance to the live music provided by DJ Breeze (Adam Sabree).

Tickets are $40 for general admission or $100 for VIP admission and are available until August 6. Limited general admission tickets will be available at the door.
