$1.8 million ($1.795 to be exact). That is how much a 2500-sq.-ft. Detroit condo went for in Westin Book Cadillac. It was sold by Kyle Swink of Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel and set a record for the most expensive condo purchase in the city so far.

The condo is one of three stand-alone units that sit on top of the Book Cadillac. It has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and some impressive amenities.  In addition to a 35-ft. vaulted ceiling, it has high-end appliances, Brazilian marble and a chandelier in the bathroom.

The new owners can look over the Detroit River, Ambassador Bridge and downtown Detroit as they gaze out of their penthouse window upon the city.

Swink has been a specialist in the Metro Detroit area for more than six years and during that time has produced more than $20 million in sales.

The market has spoken. Detroit real estate is making money, and it can be a lot.
