Ally Financial is ready to give 10 percent more to help feed the hungry kids and you can help through Twitter and Facebook,
The initiative is called #TenPercentMore. Through June 30, Ally will match 10 percent of donations made to Feeding America® as well as donate $10 for every Twitter or Facebook engagement related to the program.
Donations will be made for every tweet or retweet from @Ally, @AllyAuto or @AllyBank using the hashtag #TenPercentMore and for every tracked share of the #TenPercentMore post from the Ally Auto or Ally Bank Facebook pages during the same period. Donations can be made by visiting http://www.feedingamerica.org/ways-to-give/.
“We are thankful to Ally and its #TenPercentMore initiative for supporting children and families who struggle with hunger during the critical summer months,” says Nancy Curby, vice president of corporate partnerships at Feeding America.
“The summer can be a fun and exciting time for many kids, but when school is out, more than 18 million children will lose access to free or reduced-price meals,” says Gina Proia, Ally’s head of communications, citizenship and culture. “This is the time to help kids and their families who struggle with hunger.”
Earlier this year Ally Financial, Inc. brought 1,500 jobs to its new Ally Detroit Center at 500 Woodward Ave. when it moved workers from its office in Troy, Auburn Hills, Southfield and the Renaissance Center to the new location.
