More jobs are on the way for Detroiters thanks to a long-time strategic partnership between DTE Energy and Strategic Staffing Solutions.
DTE Energy is creating 120 new jobs for Detroiters to help staff the expanding customer call center in its downtown Detroit headquarters building.
Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) will be responsible for recruiting, hiring and managing the new employees. The collaboration will give Detroiters an employment opportunity, while developing new skills through on-the-job training.
“As a Detroit-based company for more than 100 years, we’re pleased to be able to offer new, meaningful opportunities to Detroiters,” said Jerry Norcia, president and chief operating officer, DTE Energy. “As a major employer in the Detroit community, we want to continue to be part of the revitalization of the city. Creating jobs through collaboration only furthers this effort.”
The new employees will be trained on a state-of-the-art call center system in S3’s Detroit Development Center located in the Penobscot Building. Their job will be to answer and respond to DTE customer inquiries including service, billing and payment transactions, as well as emergency and outage situations.
DTE Energy and S3 have had a strategic partnership for 24 years. During that time they have worked together through the Downtown Detroit Partnership, the Live Downtown incentive, and countless charitable endeavors.
