Little Caesars to share its pizzas with less fortunate in Detroit

Little Caesars is taking its hot and ready lunch plan to the hungry in Detroit.

From Feb. 16 to Feb. 27 Little Caesars Love Kitchen will provide fresh Little Caesars pizza meals for approximately 3,825 people in need. The mobile kitchen and more than 50 local volunteers from Little Caesars Inc. and Ilitch Charities will visit 11 social service organizations and shelters in Detroit to deliver the food.

“As a proud member of the Detroit business community, it’s important for us to give back to our home city,” says David Scrivano, president and CEO of Little Caesars. “The Love Kitchen was created to provide quality meals for people who need them. We are excited to visit some of our local community service organizations and share a hot meal with people who otherwise may not get one.”

The Little Caesars Love Kitchen has been traveling throughout the US and Canada to feed the less fortunate for more than 30 years. It has fed more than three million people in 48 states and four Canadian provinces since was founded in 1985.

It’s a “company family” plan. Local Little Caesars franchise owners, company regional offices, and Little Caesars corporate employees work together to donate all food and labor costs for the Love Kitchen servings. An estimated 50,000 Little Caesars franchise owners and employees have volunteered their time over the years to support the program in their local communities.
