Comcast Business is coming to Midtown.
It just signed a lease with Woodward SA-ZK, LLC for 1,950 square feet of office space at 3907 Woodward, Suite E. The new office will open in the first quarter of this year and house six employees.
“As more businesses move into the city, we want to be closer to our customers and make it more convenient for them to do business with us,” said Tim Collins, senior vice president of Comcast in Michigan. “In addition to this new office space, we’re opening our first Detroit XFINITY store in Midtown. Comcast has a long history in Detroit. We’ve supported the city through its most difficult times, and we’re energized to be a part of its resurgence.”
The XFINITY store in Midtown will also be located at 3907 Woodward and will open in February. It will have 1,770 square feet of retail space.
In addition, Comcast recently announced it will invest $3 million over the next year in its local network to build fiber throughout the city, providing a new service with one-gigabit speeds.
Its foundation awarded $323,000 in grants to seventeen nonprofits in Detroit and Michigan last year to further digital literacy, a commitment to community service and strong leadership skills.
