DSO concert in the Wintergarden in 2012

by Gabrielle Poshadlo

What better way to conclude a crisp fall Tuesday at the office than a free concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. On Tuesday, Nov. 12 the DSO will give you a great reason to pack up on time, or at least take a break with a free concert at 5 p.m. in the GM Wintergarden at the Renaissance Center.

With guest conductor Christopher James Lees at the podium, the program is comprised of classical favorites like selections from Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, and a movement from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

As a community-supported orchestra, free concerts like this one are the DSO’s way of saying thank you for your support of the orchestra and the hard work you do each day in the city of Detroit.

Gabrielle Poshadlo is patron communications and public relations manager for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
