The City Theater in Downtown Detroit was packed to the rafters with the crowd listening to every word of the presentation by the Downtown Detroit Partnership, Dan Gilbert, Rock Ventures, the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation and placemaking experts.

But what does that vision for Downtown Detroit look like? We’ve included some of the best street renderings to show you what the future will hold for Downtown Detroit.   2. I like it – I hope the addition of fully stocked Macy's and a Kohls or JCPenney are included in the vision. For those of us who are downtown all week long, we often wish we had these stores for after work or lunchtime shopping.

    Good stuff!

  3. Dan's putting his Money on Detroit. Call him crazy, call him generous, call him dedicated. The man is putting his money where his mouth is and eating his own dog food.
