Centerline based Mopar CEO talks jobs and their commitment to Southeast Michigan at NAIAS

Mopar is familiar to car enthusiasts around the world and has a storied history dating back to before World War II.  During the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Mopar brand President and CEO Pietro Gorlier was eager to talk about metro Detroit and job growth.

Mopar’s international headquarters are here in Centerline, Michigan. As the Chrysler brand continues to grow with new vehicles like the SRT Viper and others, Mopar is seeing increased demand for parts too – adding jobs and deepening their commitment to the area.

With more than one thousand employees already here, Gorlier said they have moved even people here from other areas of the country.

“We are happy with our partnership with Centerline and it’s growing,” he said. The city of Centerline even has a Mopar on their welcome sign.

In the video, we talked to Mr. Gorlier inside the Mopar garage display, which features cars outfitted with the latest accessories for your new SRT Viper, Dart, or any Chrysler auto.
