This week on Detroit Unspun TV, we had a chance to sit down and talk to Craig Fahle of WDET 101.9 FM about his project with Charles Pugh that encourages people to volunteer in Detroit. With help from Loveland, they’ve mapped out a whole range of volunteer opportunities in the city. Next we found the folks behind neighborhood FORT, which sups up the old cardboard boxes we all used to play in as children, and lets them design their own playscapes. You might have noticed a change in the storefronts down Woodward Ave. downtown, but now you can hear the whole story of the Woodward Windows street art project by the 323 Art Gallery and Mike Han of Street Culture Mash. Our Detroit People segment is on a man who calls himself a professional storyteller. Ivory Williams takes us through his journey and what, in his mind, makes a good story. Lastly, for the gastronomically inclined out there, we have an interview with Marc Peyer of Saltwater Grill, which is one of the few four diamond restaurants in the state. You can find it in the MGM Grand Casino right in downtown Detroit.
